Garey Godson releases his new Single "Tender" under the ROU Label. This is a follow up to his last release Macking Things. He is currently working on his EP Lucid Thoughts to be released soon.
Tender combines a blend of African rhythms with R&B and dancehall elements. Godson expresses sensual lyrics to his lady. In the words of Godson:
“I wanted to write something classic, grown and sexy on Tender”.
The instrumental delivers a memorable and atmospheric vibe through the mid-tempo dancehall patterns. As the record builds, Garey showcases his versatility through his deep voiced rap verse. The instrumentation combined with the catchy nature of the hook and lyrics cohesively puts you in a mood. This record extensively captures a new wave of young rising African acts like Nonso Amadi, Gabzy, Ogaranya who make slow afro-fusion Jams that are soothing yet will rock the dancefloor.
