Kileza Artist Interview

Was there a pivotal moment when you decided to follow your path?

I’ve always known that this was my path, since age 3 , I knew that this was my destiny. One of the

many moments that stands out to me was at an Incubus concert; they were playing the song

“Drive”, I thought “yeah, I’ve gotta go for it!”.

Can you tell us about the process of making your work?

It’s always different, but I feel like most of the time I am gifted with a melody from the divine; I

wake up in the morning with a melody, and I record it on my phone. Sometimes a sentence that

appears in daily life stands out to me, and then I just expand on that.

How do you know when a piece of work is accomplished?

It’s just a feeling of satisfaction. I trust my feelings, because at the end of the day, everything we do is because we want to feel a certain way.

What drives and inspires you?

Life, love, my heart, my feelings, other people’s experiences. I know that I’m here for a reason, and I try to honour that.

What are you thankful for?

I have been given many advantages in my life, one of them is a great family. That is one of the strongest building blocks that one can have. I have ten fingers, ten toes, a sound mind, and the ability to walk. I have a beautiful voice, and a talent for writing. I have some really precious friends; that’s the short list :)

Do you have a favourite book?

No. It changes, depending on the mood that I’m in. A great fiction book that I read was "Red Rose Chain”. My girl Annabel stole it from me though and never gave it back :)

How does your daily routine look like?

I just try to follow my heart (though it’s not always easy). Before I get out of bed, I do some kind of ritual in my mind. I also listen to some subliminals to prime my mind. Everyday looks different, and that’s how I want it. I can’t live the same day twice. I do my best to listen to my intuition and follow that.

What advice would you give to your younger self following your steps?

I would just tell myself to love myself more; to not compare myself to others; to trust my feelings

and to speak up for myself.

Why do you do what you do? Where can people find you? What’s your vision about?

I was just born to do this, I have a divine gift. Music is a beautiful release for me, and the purest version of my self expression. With my music, all I ever wanted to do was to soothe people, to calm the weary soul. My vision is about bringing joy and peace into the world, through my gift.

How do you get in contact with the ROU?

I met Hannes at a festival in 2017 in Berlin - Popkultur.

What is the most important thing to you?

Learning how to be my true self in every moment. Listening to the guidance I receive, believing it and following it.

Trusting my own path, although it looks different from the path of others.
