Was there a special moment when you decided to follow your path?
I always loved music but I also was curious how it is made. So I watched a lot of "Behind the Scenes“ videos from Bands or Orchestral recording sessions. At the age of 15, I saw a live show from dutch DJ Hardwell on Youtube and I was like „I want to do that“. So when I started making music I was more into Big Room House but after a schoolmate showed me the Trap Genre I was blown away by it and decided to switch my style.

Can you tell us about the process of making your work?
So usually I already have a rough idea in mind about what I want to do. Sometimes its a melody in my mind or a chord progression I improvised on the piano. Then I go into my DAW and try to work out those ideas and form it into a full Song. Each track I make is like an adventure. You never know where it will take you.

How do you know when a piece of work is accomplished? What’s your number 1 habit?
I think every musician is a perfectionist so a track is never 100% finished. But you have to come to a point where you have to say „This is it. I'm done with the track“. I think my number 1 habit is to group all my sounds, samples inside my project. It improved my workflow a lot because it helps me to keep myself organized and the project clean.

What drives and inspires you?
Music. It's the best inspiration you can have as a musician. It doesn't even have to be the same genre that your
producing. But listening to music always gets my hyped and inspired to make more music on my own.

What are you thankful for?
I'm thankful for my super supportive listeners, the people I worked within the music industry like label manager, youtube channel leader, other artists of course. I get to know so many great people which is such a pleasure. I'm also thankful to my family for supporting me at any time! Hugs to all of you! <3

Do you have a favourite book?
Honestly, I'm not really into reading anymore but I read a lot some years ago. I think my favourite books are „The Lord of the Rings“ by J.R.R Tolkien and every single book written by Dan Brown. For example „Illuminati“ or „Diabolus“. I highly recommend them.

How does your daily routine look like?
Right now my days are pretty simple. I wake up at 7 am and the first thing I do is hitting the Gym. It wakes me up and gives me the drive and energy for the day. After having a shower and breakfast I usually practice some piano pieces or finger techniques for like an hour. And after that, I turn on the pc and make music. In the evening I like to watch a good movie or do some gaming on the pc.

What advice would you give to your younger self following your steps?
Keep up working on your production skills and stay focused on your goals. Don ́t let anyone tell you that you can ́t do it. If you want something, you can do it. That's all you have to know. If you have a dream in your life, go and make it become a reality.

Why do you do what you do? Where can people find you? What’s your vision about?

I do music because its the thing I love the most. Music is like an endless universe where you can discover new things every day. It's just fascinating me and I never get tired of it. My vision is to bring trap music into people's hearts. The genre is still pretty young. It has a huge potential in the future and I want to be a part of it. People can find me and my music on almost every platform on the Internet under the name „Calli Boom".

How do you get in contact with the ROU ?
I got in contact with ROU over „HKMK“. He asked me to do this interview for the ROU website. I have to say that this is my first interview ever so it's such an honour for me.

What should people be ready for in 2020?
I definitely will release more music in 2020. Many tracks are ready to be dropped soon and even more, are in progress and close to get finished. I'm gonna be part of 2 big label albums and I'm also featured on an EP that's coming out soon so big things are coming. Thanks for having me here ROU! Much love!
